Sedition Charter

Human beings are born with inalienable human rights which include the right to food, shelter, personal security, freedom of speech, freedom of association, freedom of religion and freedom from the fear of arbitrary arrest, detention, interrogation, torture, imprisonment and execution.

Citizens have both a right and a duty to oppose and resist governments that attempt to legislate away their inalienable human rights. They have a right under the 1946 United Nations Declaration of Human Rights, and a duty under the principles that were outlined in the Nuremburg Trials that were conducted after world war two that found that obeying the law and following orders could not be used as a justification for denying people their inalienable human rights.

Why Sign?

Over the past decade, the Howard led Coalition government supported by the Labor Opposition, has passed a raft of legislation that has removed many of the rights and liberties Australians have enjoyed for generations. We encourage Australians who wish to register their opposition to these laws and who believe citizens have both a right and a duty to agitate against governments that strip citizens of their inalienable rights, to sign the SEDITION CHARTER to openly demonstrate their opposition to these laws. WE HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR, BUT FEAR ITSELF.
